From 1991 onward the 16th June became the International Day of the African Child.
On this 26th special day celebrating the protest that took place 40 years ago today, I would like to say that while I whole-heartedly admire what they did and agree that protesting is sometimes necessary and can get results, the best results for yourself are always achieved by being ambitious and having the motivation to set an objective which you spend your life achieving .
My mum, Boikanyo Trust Phenyo, did just that and inspired Lance Greenfield to write a book called Eleven Miles ! If you too need inspiration you could not do better than read this amazing story! I have and, having started my life in the UK at the early age of eleven on this day 7 years ago because of my mum’s success, what limits can there be to what I achieve in the next eleven years! 🙂
